Did you know that Oranges originated on the slopes of the Himalayas, thousands of years ago? It travelled with sea traders to Europe, first to Spain then to Italy where they found much fame & glory. To this day, the Italian word for Orange is Aranci from the Spanish Naraja from the India, Narangi, the Sanskrit word for the colour Orange!
One of our favourite books on the story of Lemons is The Land Where Lemons Grow by Helena Atlee. If you are a Citrus Aficionado, you should give this book a squeeze.
